Many of us have suffered and continue to suffer the inflationary impact of the current pandemic. Several commodities, including wood, have been subject to unprecedented inflation in recent months. All materials derived from wood, such as cardboard boxes, paper and packaging materials, have been affected by these increases. Even the polymers that allow us to make labels in synthetic material have not escaped.

 

 

In addition, some service companies, such as transport, have revised their prices upwards. Will the market be able to return, at least in part, to where it was before the Covid-19? No one knows yet.

 

 

 

In recent months, Visuascan has received and still receives weekly notices of price increases from its suppliers. These increases range from 6% to 19% on the manufacturing and packaging components of the products. We have started negotiations with our suppliers and tried to find solutions to limit the impact of such increases.

 

 

 

Unfortunately, costs are constantly rising, even on unexpected platforms. Today we are faced with the situation where we must make changes to our pricing structure. We want to limit these price increases to labels currently. So far, we have been able to contain the increases in thermal ribbons.

 

 

There is never a good time to present a price increase and today is no exception. We are therefore forced to show you a price increase of 6% on all labels of paper or synthetic material. This price increase will be effective as of April 15th, 2021.

 

Orders received no later than April 14th at 5:00 pm will be processed at the current rate. All orders received after this date will be subject to the new rate. We invite you to review your inventories in order to replenish your stock before applying this increase.
